ECVBA Boy's High School Travel Teams

Program Description

Travel Teams are for experienced players with volleyball as their primary sport in high school and aspire to play at competitive levels and beyond high school.

Season is broken up into two sessions.  Session one begins with fall tryouts and practices starting in late September and concludes in mid to late January 2025.  Players will take a break for High School season and will resume club season after High School season has ended.  Session two the teams will resume practices mid to late May through late June or early July 2025.

2 practices per week (Typically 8 times per month)
*Schedule will be determined once boys Travel & Fall teams are formed
Teams compete in all the Boy’s SoCal Cup (Orange County Area)
*Approximately 8 days of tournaments

2024-2025 AAU Volleyball Junior Player Age Definition

Once a player participates (including but not limited to practicing, training, attending workouts and/or competing) in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he/she is ineligible to take part in any regional and national programming, which includes but is not limited to national JNC qualifying and championship events. 

18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 (including high school graduates eligible based on the above paragraph)

  • 18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year are eligible to compete on 18 and under teams. 

17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007    
16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008 
15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 20010

TRYOUT INFORMATION

  • Players will need to attend at least one tryout to be considered. Attending all tryouts assures that the committee coaches have evaluated the player thoroughly. If you must miss a tryout, please notify a ECVBA Staff member.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR TRYOUTS

  • Elite and Regional Travel Teams $50.00 Tryout Fee
  • (you only have to pay once...$50.00 for all Elite Travel/Regional Travel team tryouts)
  • We encourage every athlete to attend all tryouts, if possible. Each athlete needs to be accompanied by a parent/guardian to fill out the necessary paper work. If you must miss a tryout date, contact ECVBA
  • Elite Travel teams and Regional Travel teams are selected after the final tryout.
  • Please come 15-30 minutes early for registration and paper work.
  • The SCVA has specific dates clubs are allowed to offer and accept contracts from athletes for team placement. A club may give an offer to a player and that player may accept that offer at any time on or after the “First day of tryouts;” however, if a written offer is made, that offer must stay on the table until the respective signing date.
  • Once the letter of commitment is signed and turned into one club, the player is then committed to that club. If a player does not follow the tryout procedures and commitment date, he/she may be suspended for the season.

  • FYI...Deposit fee will be required when final team selections are made and contracts are signed.
